Cats & Kittens at Pets West

Pets West works with a number of local cat rescues, including Victoria Humane Society and Dee’s Orphan Fund.

Due to overwhelming demand at this time for cats and kittens, unfortunately, our waiting list is now over 300 people,  and in fairness to those that have waited for months, we cannot accept any more people on the list at this time.
We are sorry we cannot assist you at this time and suggest also trying our resource page at

Adoptions are done as a volunteer service with no fee charged by Pets West (all adoption fees go directly to the rescue) and with limited resources.  Our goal is to ensure that all cats get a good home, and hopefully in the long term that all good homes get a cat.

All of the cats listed on this page are courtesy posts for our local rescue organizations, private homes, or local breeders!

Jamieson <3

Meet Jamieson! He is from Dee's Orphan Kitten Fund and is looking for his forever home. He will need an indoor/outdoor home as he gets playfully agressive if he is not able to get a lot of exercise. He does like to play fetch. He needs a dog free home as he is afraid of them and not young kids because of his playing behavior. He is under 2, neutered and all ready for his new home!

If interested in Jamieson, please e-mail:

*Need forever foster home for this guy!*

This cutie comes from Dee's Orphan Kitten Fund. He is FIV positive so needs a forever foster home as we can't adopt him out and has to be indoor only.  Dee's pays for all food, litter, supplies and veterinary care. The foster supplies the love, care and driving. He must not interact with other cats, but is fine around dogs and of course people.  He is very sweet, has a great appetite and just wants to be warm and loved! If interested, please contact Dee's at:

Harpo <3

"Harpo is a handsome young boy who is looking for just the right home. He came to us from a home with an excessive number of cats so we have limited information about him but we suspect that he’s about a year old. He really loves to be around other cats so is looking for a home with other felines that will want to be his friend. Harpo wasn’t properly socialized as a youngster so he’s a bit on the shy side and uncomfortable with loud sounds and fast movements. However, if you’re sitting quietly he will come over to you and turn into the biggest mush! He rolls around on his back, loves to give head boops, and drools up a storm when he’s happy. He loves to have his head scratched but he’s not a fan of his lower back or tail being pet. He’s getting a bit better about it but it’s taking some time for him to learn that it’s OK. Despite being young, Harpo is not overly playful. He will do well in a quiet, adult home where he can get attention on his terms. He does still get a bit overwhelmed if he’s getting too much attention so needs an experienced home with someone who can read his body language and determine if it’s time to give Harpo a bit of a break. As mentioned above, he would like a home with cats but he is not comfortable with children or with dogs. He’s looking for an indoor-only home. Since Harpo has longhair, he will need an owner who is willing to brush him regularly and who may have to take him to a groomer on occasion if he starts to get mats as he’s not yet comfortable having his belly brushed.

If you’d like to learn more about Harpo, please contact us at and tell us a bit about your home. Please note that he is in foster care in Mill Bay/Cobble Hill area so interested parties must be willing to travel there to meet him."
