Billy
Billy Billy Billy! Why haven’t you found your forever home yet! Billy is a 6-8 year old black lab. He’s typical in that he loves everyone, loves his ball and loves food! He needs a family that likes a lab that has a bit of drive and that can enjoy his enthusiasm. In the house Billy has great manners. On a leash he is fine after the initial thrill of being outside. In the car he needs to share his enthusiasm vocally but with time and some consistency, he would most likely be fine, he does want to please you. Billy does have some arthritis in his knees (not that it stops him from jumping around) but he isn’t a candidate for running or really long hikes.

Purdy
She is such a sweet girl, has a lot of manners, likes to exercise but is quite happy to sit with you on the couch (or beside if she isn’t allowed on it). She still needs some leash training, as she likes to pull a lot, and she will need some recall training. Purdy will bark at strangers, but once she sees you aren’t concerned she quiets down. Overall, she is a fabulous dog, who will make a young family/person very happy. Oct 16/11 Update: Purdy is now spayed, vaccinated and microchipped. She is ready to find her forever home! Purdy is a young (about 1 1/2yo) border collie/shepX weighing around 50 lbs. She is energetic and needs a home willing to keep her well exercised. As with all young dogs, she will benefit from more training and may be a good agility candidate. Sept 20/11 Update: Purdy is enjoying her new foster home and is quite the playful girl!
